Since graduating from Syracuse University College of Law in 1984, Brian has practiced in several areas of the law. In 1996 Brian obtained an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University Law School in order to better serve his clients in the areas of estate planning and elder law, as well as real estate. As part of his estate planning and elder law practice, Brian drafts wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and powers of attorney.

His real estate practice consists of preparing deeds, drafting purchase and sales agreements, conducting residential and commercial closings, examining titles and issuing policies of title insurance, drafting leases and litigating landlord/tenant disputes. In addition, Brian assists small businesses in the entity formation process by incorporating S corporations and organizing limited liability companies. He continues to represent these businesses through various stages of growth, i.e., financing and acquisition of real estate, employee contracts, sale of assets and transfer of shares, and family business succession planning. Brian has also practiced extensively in the various Rhode Island probate courts handling decedents’ estates and guardianships, contested and uncontested.

A native of Cranston, Rhode Island, Brian graduated from the University of Michigan in 1979 with a Bachelor of Arts and received his Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law in 1984.
